Question Extract sounds from an mpeg?

I made an mpeg and need to extract only the sound/music from it.
What program is good for that and will also save it in mp3 format?
Haha tried saving an mpeg to an mp3 but no sound comes from it. Errrrrr!
Please help me out on this!
Thanks!

I looked for an AudioSlave program with no luck.
It comes up as a rock group.
Would you happen to have the direct link? Thanks!

Your subconscious trying to tell ya something degsy?

I've used Audacity in the past and I really like it. Definitely recommend it to all. And I believe that it is still open source too....
