A quick crossfire question
Hello I was considering having dual video cards and to crossfire them but when I went to look for my same video card to purchase for the 2nd card, it was no longer being sold. I did find the perfect alternative for the 2nd, but its not the exact same card as the original. I heard that cards do not need to be the exact same but have similar attributes in order for crossfire to successfully work.
So basically i wanted to be absolutely sure that these two cards would be compatible for crossfire before i buy the 2nd video card current one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102864 Prospective 2nd: http://www.amazon.ca/Sapphire-Radeon...d_sim_sbs_sw_2 thanks! |

Hi,
They will both be compatible for CrossFire. Both cards are the same in essence but with a different heatsink. Cheers. |

Nothing major, space, heat, and power are the big ones, You need a good gaming case, not only for the room but for airflow too keep the cards cool, and make sure you have a good quality psu with enough amps on the rails.

Ahhh yes thank you for the valuable reminders, I always forget to check my case before i buy and always end up praying it fits!
