R4NG3R,
I know that you have RH 9, so the following might be a little more appropriate for your version... http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/l.../ch-httpd.html |

man i'm reading all this stuff on modules and things, when all i want to do is:
Get Apache working. *check* Get server available to public. *not yet* Have a simple web page. *not yet* all i need or want to know is where to put my .html files and how to get my IP available to public. |

You don't need to put it in the DMZ, you can forward port 80 to the web server.
As far as public goes, anyone should be able to type http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx into the web browser (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx = the WAN address of your router) and get your web server. If you want people to be able to type www.whatever.com into there browser you need to buy a domain name and set the DNS to point to your routers WAN address. |

It looks as though your ip address changed. Even from your domain the connection is refused.....
