I wear a mask when I go into stores. In fact, most stores require them now. Then go sit in a bar everyday talking with others about how stupid we are to sit there. The u.s. is just going to have to struggle along until an anti-virus arrives.

Therein lies the problem, the simple cold is cause by several viruses, one of them is the simple coronavirus while the main one is the rhinovirus, Covid-19 is a Novel Coronavirus, related in form to the simple coronavirus.

Scientists have been working on a vaccine for the common cold for many years, without luck. The same fate may befall the search for a long term Covid-19 vaccine.

Might be safer to drink at home while on a Skype video call with a fellow drinker in his home. You'll have a good starting topic, 'how smart you each are'.

Well now that there appears to be a light at the end of the tunnel with a vaccine available, how is everyone? Obviously it will take some while to distribute and vaccinate all. Here in Australia we don't expect anything to start before next March.

Did any of you or your family members become infected? And heaven forbid, did anyone lose a family member or friend? I certainly hope not. Any who caught the virus and survived how was the effect on you? Please tell us your experiences.

My brother has been in the hospital for over a month with Covid. Caused a blood clot in his lung. He was almost healed enough to where he could go home, then was sent to ICU and put on a respirator, and put into a medical coma. Heart and lung damage and his kidneys stopped working. He has slightly improved, and they are weening him off the coma drugs and put him on dialysis to restart the kidneys. They think it was the same blood clot, or a new one.

Very sorry to hear that Jintan, my best wishes for him to have a good recovery.

The first batch of vaccine has arrived here in Australia and a few people including the PM were vaccinated today for publicity shots. The community has been divided into 5 groups according to various categories. I'm in category 2 (age related) and expected to receive my first shot in about 5 to 6 weeks.

My brother died. He had a couple of strokes and never came out of the coma, and his kidneys quit working. So they took him off of life support.

Tom,

So sad to hear the news. I just lost a niece 3 weeks ago to Covid, she was 49, this virus is a killer, hope you got or will get your vaccine. My first shot is this Thursday.

My sincere condolences to you and your family. R.I.P. God must of needed another angel.
