mobile door tracking phone app

Hi there,

I am wondering if anyone here can give some suggestions.* We are a practicing clinic and are looking to record student entry into the clinic.* At first we were wondering to use a bog standard card or fob system, but they are fairly pricey.

An idea was suggested that perhaps there are entry recorders via mobile phones, so if an app that can be linked to a students phone when they enter the clinic, then that would be useful.* Can anyone suggest any such apps? Thanks in advance

A Bluetooth system is a possibility, it would require the student to have an app installed on their phone and have it turned on. Their are such applications available or you could have one of your computer science students develop one specific to your needs.
