I am trying out Lindows live before I go ahead and install Lindows4.5.335. It booted in win98se system with no problems. But it wont boot in my win2000 system. My AMD is is set up to boot from the cd rom. my intel isnt. I do not know how the change it to boot from a cd. anyhelp would be appriciated.

In your system bios setup there is a setting for the boot sequence. How you get into that setup can be different depending on the system: on both of my Dell PCs I hit F2 while the very first screen shows up and has a blinking cursor, and in my old Compaq I needed to hold down F10 for 3 seconds during the beginning of the boot process.
If you can't find that 'magic key' then post more of your system specs and someone here will help you find it. If you don't get a lot of hits on this thread here in the Linux forum, let one of us moderators know and we can move this to the Hardware forum for you. |

Well I see that you went and posted the same issue in the Win2000 forum.....posting the same issue in multiple forums is not a good way of ensuring success for you, it will confuse others who will post replies and help you with your issue.
I understand that you would be excited to try out Linux....but I must warn you of something right away....Linux, is currently not something that will satisfy those that are impatient, it is however a strong operating system that is stable and will provide many options, but again, it will take some care. |

It's not a question of windows 2000, just a question of getting into the BIOS.
