Hi, I've just recently bought a new motherboard and some very nice hardware and i'm going to put the whole system together tomorrow with my current hard drives. The hard drives are currently in a store-bought system which had XP already installed. I have been told that when i try to install these hard drives on the new motherboard my copy of XP will become invalid because it is technically a whole new system(as well as being AMD,whereas the old sytem is Intel). What is the likelihood that i will have to buy a new XP cd? Any help would be greatly appreciated because i have a lot of programs that i don't want to lose by having to reinstall my operating system.
