Just a quick question regarding video cards
So my friend broke her monitor plug in port on the back of her computer. The plugin was from the video card built into the motherboard. So as far I can tell the simplest solution would be to buy a video card, install, and then she could plug her monitor in that way. However I just wanted to make sure that I had found the proper type of card for her computer... Thus I was hoping that you guys could point out which video card (out of three) is most compatible and effective for her computer before she buys it.
Her computer: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport...riesId=3999463 Three video cards I was considering: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...=1fqhch9pstjay http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...82E16814102882 http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...82E16814187209 MANY THANKS IN ADVANCE |

Any one of those cards should work. Since the onboard graphics are Nvidia, I'd probably stick with the Nvidia card, (should be less of a hassle when installing drivers).

I just bought this card a couple of weeks back. It's nVidia based and works great, needs no power connection, runs cool (never above 45c/113f so far) and has a good easy to understand interface.
I'm no gamer, so have no idea how far it can be pressed, but bought this for an old Dell P4 3.2ghz XP box that always skipped (approximately 1.5 seconds) with YouTube at 720p, but now can watch 1080p with rarely a frame skip. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0049MPQA4 EDIT: EVGA GeForce 8400 GS 1 GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 DVI/HDMI/VGA Graphics Card, part # 01G-P3-1302-LR http://www.evga.com/Products/Product...01g-p3-1302-lr Last edited by JoJo Gunn; July 21st, 2013 at 04:03 AM.
