Setting up Home Network
I'm reasonably good computer wise but I've never been able to set up a home network.
I have one computer running windows 7 and another running xp sp3 I have a netgear router. Can I run a network with two different opperating systems ?. I don't want to go online with this network it will be purely to move files between the two computer. Both computers are hard wired. Can anyone explain in the simplest terms how I go about doing it. Thanks in advance. |

Hi,
Here are a good link on how to setup your Windows 7 and Windows XP to enable your file sharing so that you can move your files from one pc to another. NOTE: The Two Computer that you have should be in the same WORKGROUP/DOMAIN. Hope the link below will help you. WINDOWS 7: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/w...rinter-sharing WINDOWS XP: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307874 |
