how to darken txt on Packard Bell

The text is too light and I cant see how to darken it,there does't seem to be a facility in systems

Check your monitor manual for Brightness and Contrast controls.

Dim your room lights and/or use darker window coverings.

Understand a dim display could indicate the monitor on its way out.

Try a different monitor on that computer.
