Hi, can anyone help me to make sure my laptop is free of viruses/trojans?

Hi, I was barred from another tech sub for supposedly being a spammer and I think its because the administrators there thought my story was too out there on why I need my computer checked by someone who knows what they are doing. So, I won't bore you with the whole story but I believe my computer may have a trojan because someone was able to remove money from my bank account via bank transfer. I have had my ATM card cancelled and I'm waiting on a new one but in the meantime I've been trying to work out how to make sure my computer is clean so that it is safe to use to use the new card for online purchases.

I have microsoft defender but I'm not sure it is working correctly as it won't complete the full scan - it stops at 66%. Previously I had defender AND norton running simultaneously and I have discovered that is not good. I have also had other malware programmes running at times which i then removed. I dont know if i made the right decisions and I don t know how bad my situation is.

Can anyone tell me exactly what to do in terms of installing/uninstalling the right antivirus programme/s so that i can do a proper scan of my computer ?
