Win 10 App
Hello Murf, I did not get the Win 10 app. I did the trouble shooting and found that I needed to upgrade to IE 11 which I did. I was also missing three updates" KB2952664,KB3035583 & KB3065822 even though I have auto updates. Installed all three. Restarted and when I was still without the Win10 App, I redid the trouble shooter and still claimed I was missing KB2952664. I uninstalled it and reinstalled, restarted and still the same story missing KB2952664.
I did a cmd search with script suggested by online MS help. It showed that everything was in order including all updates, licence and activation etc. Help! Now where do I go? Thanks I'm running win 7 home premium, licenced oem, activated i3 Intel core,8gb ram, 640gb hd ![]() |

All fixed...... I uninstalled all the updates KB2952664, 3035583, 3065822 and then went into msconfig and did a Selective Startup, hiding all Microsoft services then disable all other services. I then did a windows update and it found and installed the previously deleted updates successfully. Did a restart and the Get Windows 10 icon appeared.

Thanks for letting us know, I am sure there will be problems upgrading to Win 10 as any operating system. Hopefully small ones.

if the win7 is the original os then you can try using the iso version. that is the one I used since win10 would not upgrade on my computer either because of so-called compatibility issues.
just create an image disk of the iso, start your win7, then let setup.exe run. This way it will verify you have a legit os installed and start the upgrade process. http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/softw...n10_Body_AddPC |
