Xp task bar freezes and Task manager will not display
With XP and SP2: If I leave the computer for some time, when I come back, the task bar has frozen up and control+alt+delete does not show the task manager.
The computer itself is still running (for instance: internet radio continues to play if it was playing when I left the computer). Explorer will work for a bit and then freeze. Only way to proceed is to reboot. Am using Symantec NAV 3003, Trojan remover, spybot, spysweeper, zone alarm pro (XP firewall is disactivated), DCS Process Guard v2.000. I dont have any problem if I continuously use the computer, only when I leave it for some time. Anyone any ideas? Thanks in advance for any help rulepar |

Check the event viewer and see if there's anything being logged into there that may be related to this. Maybe a software or hardware problem.
