Low Virtual Memory
Computer says low virtual memory, may deny some programs. What does this mean and how might it be remedied? Thank you. DocG

Hi Doc. Virtual Memory is where the system swaps some of the data that hasnt been used for a while OUT of memory and onto the hard disc.
Tweak your settings in Start>Control Panel>System>Advanced>Performance Settings>Advanced>Virtual Memory Change Try setting it to "System managed size" and see how you get on. If that isn't much use, have a fiddle with the "Custom Size" until you get something that works. Failing that, whack a load more memory in. |

How much harddrive space do you have free? Also what are you doing when you get the message?
Very Generally Speaking, Virtual Memory is when you do not have enough ram and it uses a portion of your harddrive as ram. |

You might want to run a disk cleanup and free up spme space and defragment to be able to increase virtual memory. Here's a useful link
