Network Design Help

I need to incorporate 2 more pc's into my existing network & don't know the proper set-up.

Current Set-Up

Basement
Cable Modem
Linksys BEFSR41 4 Port Router
PC 1 (port 1 on router)
PC 2 (port 2 on router)

Bedroom 1 Upstairs
PC 3 (port 3 on router)

Bedroom 2 Upstairs
No PC (cable via port 4 on router in room)

I now want to add 2 PC's (PC 4 & PC 5) to bedroom 2 upstairs. I have another 4 port router available (Linksys BEFW11S4). The 2 PC's being added will share a monitor via a KVM switch.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

You should be able to run the second router out of port 4 in your first router. ive run a siemens 4 port out of port 4 of my dell wireless router before cuz some buddies wanted to play UT2004 over lan and they didnt have wireless (losers) haha jk

Thanks for your reply.

Would I have to change any settings on the main router in the basement?
Which router would I access via the config screen if I'm using one of the 2 new PC's?

Would I plug the cable from Port 4 on the main router to the uplink port on the new router upstairs?

I believe that you would leave the original router as it is but change the second to a Gateway instead of a Router (DHCP Server).
Also change the new Gateway IP. Not sure of the details but try 192.168.1.2

Plug it in to the Uplink Port.

That makes sense.

So it would look like...

Main router acting as DHCP Server (192.168.1.1)
Router Port 1 (192.168.1.100) - PC 1
Router Port 2 (192.168.1.101) - PC 2
Router Port 3 (192.168.1.102) - PC 3
Router Port 4 (192.168.1.103) - Gateway Uplink
Gateway Port 1 (192.168.1.104) - PC 4
Gateway Port 2 (192.168.1.105) - PC 5

I'm not quite sure. I think there is a post about it somewhere.

Router1 (192.168.1.1)
PC1 (192.168.1.100)
PC2 (192.168.1.101)
PC3 (192.168.1.102)
Uplink (Set this to gateway with IP of 192.168.2.1)
PC4 (192.168.2.104)
PC5 (192.168.2.105)

As I say, i'm not certain, but after thinking about it maybe the Gateway Device should be 192.168.2.1 rather than 192.168.1....
