Howdy:

So what does it do?

Are you getting any error messages?

Have you tried starting in Safe Mode?

Is this a work or personal system?

So, all you get after the POST screen is nothing?

Have you tried getting into the boot options - press F10 or F8 as the system is booting up?

The keyboard doesn't work here either or nothing you select - Last known good configuration, Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking - works or starts?

Do you have a floppy drive on this system?

If you have the install cd (XP I assume), have you tried booting into Recovery Console and running a chkdsk /r command? Or running the Repair option?
