Internet connection problem

I reset my computer back a year because a virus made it crash. I have a perfectly fine internet connection and ethernet cable, but my computer won't connect to the internet. I've tried a bunch of working things out with setting up connections but idk why i need to, the connection is set up throughout my house but this computer won't connect to it, my friend suggested i wiped out my drivers that allowed for me to connect on this other computer but idk.

Yes, this might be the case that the virus were on connectivity files and you removed them.

BTW: What OS you are using?
