BSoD and Norton Ghost 15
I probably should have posted this question here instead of on the Windows XP forum.
I've used Norton Ghost 15 for some time with no problem. Last night, when I tried to boot from the Ghost disc, I got the old blue screen of death (image here http://www.flickr.com/photos/59968743@N05/5861372184/). The machine is running XP Home with 1 gig of memory and boots normally except from ANY Ghost disc. I need help tracking down and fixing this problem as I count on Ghost to save me from my dumb mistakes. Ken ______ |

partmgr.sys is the Windows native partition manager.
Check the hard disk with the manufacturer's diagnostic software via the appropriate link at top of this page: http://www.tacktech.com/display.cfm?ttid=287 If the drive has no "failed" feedback, re-install Windows but obviously not from a Ghost CD. |

Hi pip22,
In re-reading my post, I might have included the fact that Ghost seems to load normally until it gets to the point of asking you to accept the user agreement, then when you click "Agree" the BSoD occurs. I might add that there are three HDs involved. "C" 250gb with the OS, "D" 1.5tb internal HD with Ghost restore points and overflow document storage and "H" 120gb external USB 2.0 drive with "My Documents". I MAY need to brush up on my communication skills. Ken |
