Samsung CD-Rom SC-148 HELP!!!ME!!!!!

ok, last week i started my computer, it couldn't find my Samsung CD-Rom, i said k, and restarted my computer..still nothing, i went to roll back my computer to the day befor...still nothing..now i went into Add hardware and it found it, and i added it, every time i restarted my computer i would have to do this...but today i tried to do it, it said it was busy, i did not have a CD in it and i wasnt runing any programs that use it. Windows suggested i uninstall it, i did then i renstalled it, but now when i try to enable it, it sayd "Windows could not enable your drive" thats it nothing else, when i try to update drivers it says that there is windows could not find any drivers better then the one on it....and suggestions on how to fix this...i dont want to have to renstall windows
my drive is a Samsung CD-Rom SC-148 please help me
