Record Monitor Output

Is there an app to record monitor and/or audio output? Sorry if (more like "that") it's been asked a million times before, but I didn't know how to phrase for the search.

Not quite sure what you mean.

If you have a Graphics Card with TV Out then you can record the output to a VHS recorder or similar.

Like recording everything you see in the monitor. I heard it's possible without a TV card, but it takes up a LOT of processing power in a bloated OS. Hopefully 2.2GHz will do.

Yeah, something like that.

ACA screen recorder was pretty good, though the playback was a little choppy (which I can't really blame), even being recorded from 1024*768 and watched on 1280*1024.

This month's edition of PCW has this featured software (actually it's full version of the previous camtasia 3)

Maybe you could give it a try

For sound recording I suggest Total recorder professional edition from download.com, this program is not free but searching for it on http://www.astalavista.com/ will give you good results as well as spyware and tracking cookies so after 5 min of searching you can have some spyware built up.

I suggest when you find what you are looking for run spybot S&D, ad-aware 6 and cyberware shredder and manually fix anything else using Hijackthis.

For screen recording I suggest Wink. Good if you wants to make tutorials.

It's freeware !

Thanks, Wink was pretty cool. I'm liking Camtasia, and I would get it had it not cost 300 big ones. All the good software is too expensive, but thanks for the recommendation at all. (:

Camtasia 3 is 10mb if you would like a copy.
It was a free giveaway because it is the previous version of the software.
