Sound in DOS? IRQ - 17

I'm currently trying to get my sound card working under the DOS shell in Windows 2000. The specific program I'm running will only let me use IRQ's 2, 3, 5, 7, 10, 11, 12, and 15.

Very dumb question. There's nothing practical I can do, is there? Also, I can't really use DOS emulators, because they run on my computer too slow.
