http://localhost:631/ Problem
For Mint Cinnamon 64bit. Canon PIXMA MX922
I'm trying to install a printer for the first time in Linux. (I may have tried and failed years ago.) I'm trying to use this as a tutorial: https://community.linuxmint.com/tutorial/view/194 . I says to go to http://localhost:631/ but I get "This site can’t be reached". Are they down? Is this obsolete? If so please lead me to the right one. Thanks |

Hi Matt.
First of all update your system. If you are happy with command line open terminal then type sudo apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade password enter.. When finished open /menu/administration/printers add printer. find network printer (must be connected and on) Should give you a good result.. Though Canon can be a tricky beast.. |
