Hiding your IP Adress

Alright I have a major problem here. I've tried tons of ip maskers and hiders and it says they work, but when I check it always has the same ip, And my goal is to keep my ip invisible to sites and forums and making it not be collected. Its really bugging me that nothing will work. And it's caused my problems. Thanks.

Hi buddy... have you tried this? I haven't by the way... just found it on my travels. Can't usually go wrong with stuff this site supports. Report back if it works or not.

I would stick with it. Try to follow the instructions to the letter. Never heard of that site failing before. Good luck... and dont forget to post back.

Proxomitron will not automatically hide your IP Address.
It has two options to help with anonymous surfing.
You can set the Headers to a false value. The problem with this is that this value will be changes again if you are routed through your ISP proxy/cache servers.

You can add external proxy server addresses in. You would have to visit a site to get vaild proxy server addresses then test them in Proxomitron to see if they work.
In this case Proxomitron is not actually hiding your IP. You are being routed through an external proxy server. You don't need proxomitron to to this. You can enter the address directing into your Browser settings or use a program such as Tor or Multiproxy.

You can find all this info on the castlecops site and the proxomitron site

That is because it is impossible for you to "hide" your ip address from a website. Yes, you can remove it from headers and tags, but there is absolutely no way to remove it entirely. The simple reason for this is IP networking. For the webserver to know where to send the requested information, it must have an IP address to send it to. It usually gets this information from the source IP fields of an IP packet which is what most webservers and forums will also use to log your IP address. Networks do not have the ability to simply remember where information came from and assume where it needs to go.

The only way to complete remove YOUR ip address is to use an anonymous proxy. This essentially replaces your ip address with the proxy server's, however, it does limit the things that you can do online. For example, with an anonymous proxy you can't store anything more than a temporary cookie.
