Contest winner

I won a software prize from another site. The list of prizes was so long, that I didn't truly research every one. I won two 12-month license keys for a security program called "Prevx". The second one is to "give to a friend". Upon further research, I really don't want either one. (I haven't had an infection in well over a year; if it ain't broke....) Two keys, and they made no indication as to which was which, so I figure I can give them both away. There are some members of this forum that have helped me out a lot, and I admit that I would give them preference. However, any one is welcome to leave a reply, and after a day or two, I will PM one key code each to two people. Thank you for a great forum.

without knowing the actual source of the keys, I would be hesitate to use them and the software.

Dan,

Trust me - the keys are good

The keys were sent directly from Prevx

Thank you, Dahli. You know what contest this was, don't you? Yes, these license codes were provided by Prevx themselves via e-mail. As much as you seem to get around, Renegade600, I'm a bit surprised that you didn't figure it out, too.

Prevx is a good product but dont include me as a candidate for a license rlprlp. I just wanted to say that I think it is very nice of you to donate your software to our members and yes, I know that your offer is genuine too.

T, are you commenting or registering interest?

Yes, please state clearly if you would like a copy. It is sometimes hard to tell if there is an interest, or if just casual comments are being made.

Not really sure if something went wrong here, but it appeared that no one was interested. So, I went elsewhere and gave them both away in under four hours.

Glad you found some people to give them too. I am guessing it may have been the title - if you said FREE PREVX - there would have been more responses.

the thing is, you really did not provide any info. All you basically said was you had some keys for some software won in some contest. Though in this case everything was in the up and up with all the online scams, more information should have been provided up front.

Although I don't really understand why, some forums forbid the mentioning of other forums. Frankly, I don't know if CTH allows it or not. I wanted to give more info, but opted to "play it safe", rather than get my thread locked or deleted by a moderator. In fact, in my opinion, I thought that naming the thread "Free Prevx" would have made it sound MORE like a scam. But, maybe that was my mistake, and I should have.
