Partition Problem with linux debian

hi guys! im new to linux and im having a lot of problems using this os but im desparately want to try this so i downloaded the Debian knoppix distribution. My Prob is i dont know how to begin the partition.

in the boot section i typed

boot: knoppix lang=us then it run loading something detecting hardware etc.

and

the GUI (window) POP-UP

I press the Ctrl+Alt+f2 then at prompt i typed knx-hdinstall and after that it run smoothly but when i remove the cd from the cd-rom it didnt boot to linux.
this is where my prob begin i dont know how to begin and what to do.

is there anybody who could teach me to setup everything to run this OS without the CD-ROM hoping for your response regarding this matter.

When you ran the knoppix installer, did you install the bootloader? I haven't installed knoppix in a while (prefer installing debian over installing a debian-live cd, more stable) but I know you won't be able to boot without lilo or grub.
