X10 Hardware and Programs

I currently have Windows XP SP3. I also have an X10 USB Wireless Transceiver and a Medion remote control. The Medion remote currently and perfectly works a program called Power Cinema 2.0 via the X10 hardware. Does anyone at all know how I can use the remote to control the global volume for the OS, instead of solely the one program?

I found a program called X10-BMC, that confirms signals are being sent to the computer from remote whether Power Cinema is running or not, I just can't figure out how to create a volume up or down event with it.... maybe Autohotkey? Or does anyone know of a better program for this situation? Thanks for any input!
