Off and on the following message appears on my screen: There is an IP conflict with another system on the network.
How can I correct this problem? Thanks. |

Howdy luzchurch,
Not really as sinister as it sounds, and can happen in quite a few ways. One example. You connect a computer to your network, and it is assigned the IP address 192.168.1.3. Then that computer goes into hibernation, and you connect a different computer. And so it is assigned the IP address 192.168.1.3. If the first computer comes out of hibernation, then you have two computers connected to the network using the same 192.168.1.3 IP address, which of course causes a conflict. Just follow the ipconfig /release steps here to correct it if it happens again. |
