Mac6200/os8.6

Can anyone tell me how to delete something from the extensions? I've never had a MAC before, and I admit I am confused.

Couple ways.

The easist.....

From the Apple menu at the upper left corner of the screen go to Control Panels > Extensions Manager.

That will bring up a window with all your extensions. Simply find the extension(s) you want to turn off and make certain they are unchecked. Then click the restart button.

Second method.

On the hard drive navigate to System Folder > Extensions

Move any extension you want out of that folder, then restart the machine.

Either way you turn off the extension so the Mac won't see it when it boots up. You must restart in either case.

Thumbs up THANK YOU

Buzz, bless your heart. It worked, now can you tell me where I can find a manual on how to operate my MAC so this doesn't happen again?

The help files can be a real lifesaver in some instances, nanacarla.

Just hit the "Help" key on the keyboard.
