dim screen

My iPad mini was idle for two months and the battery emptied. I charged now the battery and it is full, and the programs work correctly, but the screen is so dim that no real work is possible.
Please advise - is it a hardware bug suitable for lab intervention, or something that i can repair by myself?
Thanks

Try going into Settings>Display & Brightness to see if you can adjust the brightness from there.
Let us know if that helps.

might check your settings - battery and see if you have lower power mode on.
